Hazardous Area Course EEHA Part 2
Course Overview
This course is a natural progression for those keen participants who have completed the five days intensive hazardous areas install, maintain, test and inspection EEHA Part 1 competencies.
This course is aimed at the tradespersons or supervisors and engineers whose job function requires competencies to supervise selection, installation, commissioning, maintenance and testing explosion-protected systems and equipment with endorsements in various explosion protection techniques.
Course Objectives
The qualification provides competencies to supervise selection, installation, commissioning, maintenance and testing explosion-protected systems and equipment with endorsements in various explosion protection techniques.
Completion Requirements
The requirements for awarding this qualification are that the seventeen (17) units of competencies are successfully achieved.
5 Core + 3 stream core + 9 elective competencies standard units.
Qualification
Statement of Attainment will be issued in Completion of UEE41807 Certificate IV in Hazardous Area
Course Duration
Five (5) days EEHA Part 2 gap training to complete balance of ten (10) competencies through a combination of classroom delivery and self developed portfolio of evidence.
NOTE Students are required to bring a copy of their degree or trade qualifications or licences to verify pre-requisite of 2 years industrial experience. Students are to complete the practical component back on site and submit inspection sheets to the CSTA/PMV for review.

- UEENEE024B - Compile and produce an electrotechnology report (Classroom delivery 1 day + assessment evidence to be
provided by participants)

participant to develop personal competency development plan)
- UEENEEG005B - Verify compliance and functionality of general electrical installations (Assessment only based on AS/NZS3000:2007, AS/NZS3017:2007 and AS/NZS3008:2009
- UEENEEM004B - Install explosion-protected equipment and wiring systems Recognition of current competency (i.e. RCC covered in EEHA Part 1)

- UEENEECOO1B - Maintain documentation (Participant to compile evidence in form of portfolio in electronic and hard copy + supervisors declaration)
- UEENEED01B - Use basic computer applications relevant to a workplace (Participant to provide evidence of competency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and internet browsing)
- UEENEE020B - Provide basic instruction in the use of electrotechnology apparatus (Participant to develop and deliver instruction or work procedure for use of any electrical test apparatus)
