Hazardous Area Course EEHA Part 1
Course Overview
This course is aimed at the tradespersons or supervisors whose job function involves the installation and/or maintenance of electrical equipment for hazardous areas. The course offers the background pre-requisite training to successfully install and maintain electrical and instrumentation installations in hazardous areas. This course also offers competency to inspect hazardous area installation.
Course Objectives
To raise levels of competence for personnel carrying out installation, inspections, testing and maintenance of electrical apparatus in explosive gas and dust atmosphere to the nationally recognised standards AS/NZS 4761.
Competency Assessment
Hazardous area fundamentals, equipment marking, equipment certification, device interpretation, install and maintain, inspection and testing.

- UEE NEEM 001B: Report on the integrity of explosion-protected
equipment in hazardous areas
- UEE NEEM 002B: Attend to breakdowns in hazardous area
- UEE NEEM 004B: Install explosion-protected equipment & wiring systems
- UEE NEEM 006B: Maintain equipment in hazardous areas
- UEE NEEM 009B: Test installations in hazardous areas
- UEE NEEM 010B: Conduct close inspection of existing hazardous areas installations
- UEE NEEM 011B: Conduct detailed inspection of hazardous areas installations
